Michigan Hone & Metal Finishing (“Michigan Hone”) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Custom Honing & Finishing of South Bend, Indiana. 

 

This acquisition brings together Custom’s long-run deep-bore expertise—ID capacities from 1/2" up to 44" and lengths to 64 feet—with Michigan Hone’s small-part production honing, horizontal deep cylinder honing, and polishing services, expanding capacity and turnaround options for customers across automotive, agricultural, aerospace, medical, construction, and general industrial markets.

Custom Honing’s former owner Stephen Keller has retired, but the new Company has retained its experienced on-site staff which will continue serving customers at its South Bend facility while operating in tandem with Michigan Hone. Current orders, pricing, and points of contact remain unchanged during the transition. Michigan Hone’s Roseville, Michigan headquarters will support additional quoting, scheduling, delivery, quality, purchasing, and banking needs to ensure parts done right, on time.
