About Us
Custom Honing's founder Stephen Keller recently sold the business he founded in 1987 and retired. With over 60 years experience in the industry he is a living legend. With the equipment base, production and management teams in tact, Steve passes the business on to experienced honing operators who plan to grow the business and bring other metal finishing services to the 23,000 square foot facility that is located minutes away from the Indiana 80-90 toll road just south of the US 31 bypass on US Highway 20.

With over 25 years of experience in honing, metal finishing, and coatings, Fred’s leadership is driven by a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. His vision for Michigan Hone & Metal Finishing is to not only continue a tradition of excellence but to also push the boundaries of what can be achieved in the metal finishing industry.
